News: Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is coming to the EU in March 2018

Sega has announced that Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is coming to PS4 in Europe on March 20. Yakuza 6 is the first game that uses the Dragon Engine, which was designed for PS4 development. Alongside the regular edition, Yakuza 6 is getting its first-ever premium edition.

It’s the final chapter in the long-running series of the adventures of Kazuma Kiryu. Picking up after the release of Kiryu from another stretch in prison, he’s forced to find out who’s tried to kill his daughter, leading him towards a run in with the Hiroshima Yakuza.

A clearly older and weathered Kiryu has just found out that his surrogate daughter, Haruka, has gone missing from his orphanage. It comes to light that she’s been involved in a hit-and-run and is now in a coma. Kiryu finds out that Haruka also had a baby son, so with a child in one hand and the other made into a firmly clenched fist he sets off to the seaside town of Onomichi, Hiroshima to solve the mystery of what happened, all while kicking some serious butt along the way.

Yakuza 6 is the first game in the series to be fully developed using the PS4 specific Dragon Engine, and also marks the first time where every piece of dialogue is fully voiced in Japanese.

The Yakuza 6 After Hours Premium Edition comes with an art book which doubles as a disc cover, two 280ml bar glasses, a couple of ice stones for cooling your poison of choice, and two coasters, all of which have been decorated in a distinct Yakuza 6-theme, so players can give the Kiryu the send off he deserves.

In the meantime fans of the series and newcomers alike can play the modern remake of the first game in the series, Yakuza Kiwami, which is coming to the PS4 on August 29.

Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is scheduled to release exclusively on PS4 on March 20, 2018.
